What is the Game Researcher Network?
It is a living map and catalog of researchers throughout the world engaged in scholarly research involving games.

How do I use the map?
The map database can be searched in several ways:

  • Click on a colored dot on the map to search for all the researchers and research groups in that location.
  • Type a name, city, country, or region name into the search area and press the search button to find more specific data.
  • Click on a category below the search bar to quickly see all the groups that fall under that category.

The results of your search will be displayed below the map.

On what criteria are researchers/research groups added to the database?
Researchers and research groups with a size of three or more that have at least one scholarly publication directly related to games and are active in the games community.

How often is the map updated?
